Password Generator
The Password Generator creates strong, random passwords with a live strength estimate as you adjust the length and which character sets to include — uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Every password is generated using your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator, not a predictable pseudo-random algorithm.
Use it whenever you need a genuinely random, hard-to-guess password for a new account, and don't want to rely on a memorable-but-weak password you've reused elsewhere.
How to Use the Password Generator
- Open the Password Generator (button below).
- Set your desired length and pick which character sets to include.
- Click Generate — copy the password, and check the live strength estimate before you use it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the randomness actually secure?
Yes — the generator uses the Web Crypto API's cryptographically secure random number generator (not Math.random), which is the same class of randomness used for real security-sensitive purposes.
Are generated passwords stored or sent anywhere?
No. Every password is generated locally in your browser and never transmitted, logged, or stored — if you close the tab without copying it, it's gone for good.
How long should my password be?
Longer is generally stronger — most security guidance today recommends at least 12–16 characters with a mix of character types, which this tool defaults toward.
