UUID Generator
The UUID Generator produces RFC-4122 version 4 UUIDs — the random, globally unique identifiers used for database keys, session IDs, and object identifiers — one at a time or in bulk. Developers use it to quickly grab a test UUID for a fixture, seed a database, or fill in a placeholder ID while prototyping.
Every UUID is generated locally using your browser's random number generator, so nothing is requested from or logged by a server — the values exist only on your screen until you copy them.
How to Use the UUID Generator
- Open the UUID Generator tool.
- Choose how many UUIDs you want to generate.
- Click Generate to create them.
- Copy a single UUID or the full list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these UUIDs guaranteed to be unique?
Version 4 UUIDs are generated from 122 random bits, making collisions so astronomically unlikely that they're treated as unique for virtually all practical purposes.
Does generating UUIDs here send any data to a server?
No — each UUID is generated locally in your browser using its built-in random number generator, with no network request involved.
Can I generate a large batch of UUIDs at once?
Yes, you can set the count to generate many UUIDs in one go, useful for seeding test data or database fixtures.
