How to Use the Secret Key Generator

The Random String / Token Generator produces alphanumeric strings sized by character count, aimed at IDs and tokens. This tool is sized by cryptographic bit-length and outputs hex or Base64, matching the format most APIs and encryption libraries expect for keys and secrets.
What key length should I use?
256-bit is a strong, widely-recommended default for most symmetric encryption and API-secret use cases. Check your specific system's documentation for its required key length.
Is the generated key stored anywhere?
No. It's generated and displayed entirely client-side and is never transmitted or saved once you leave the page.
