PDF Form Filler
PDF Form Filler detects the fillable fields in a PDF form -- text boxes, checkboxes, dropdowns and radio buttons -- and shows them as a simple, easy-to-fill form, then bakes your answers back into a completed PDF.
This works on PDFs that already contain real AcroForm fields, like many official government, tax, HR or application forms. It won't work on a form that's just an image of blank lines with no underlying fields. Everything runs locally -- your form data is never uploaded.
How to Use the PDF Form Filler
- Open the PDF Form Filler tool.
- Choose a fillable PDF form.
- Fill in the fields shown -- text boxes, checkboxes and dropdowns.
- Optionally check "Flatten form" to make the result non-editable.
- Click Save Filled PDF to download your completed form.
Frequently Asked Questions
The tool says my PDF has no fillable fields -- what does that mean?
It means the PDF doesn't contain a real AcroForm -- often the case with scanned forms or PDFs where the "fields" are just printed lines and boxes rather than interactive form elements.
What does "Flatten form" do?
It permanently merges your answers into the page content and removes the interactive form fields, so the result looks the same in any PDF viewer and can no longer be edited as a form.
Is my filled-in data ever sent anywhere?
No -- the form is read, filled and saved entirely in your browser using the open-source pdf-lib library. Your answers never leave your device.
